Through This Together: Newberg Soccer 2020

The Newberg High School girl’s soccer team is gearing up for the 2020 season. The COVID pandemic casts a huge shadow of uncertainty over their season.  Will be allowed to have fall sports?  Will our seniors get to play their final year?  Couple that with the unrest in our nation and life feels heavy and hard.  The girls’ varsity soccer […]

Three Class of 2020 Grads

My friend Cyndi got hammered with the Class of 2020 graduation times three.  Her youngest son Ethan graduated from Newberg High School.  Her daughter Lauren, and her husband Michael, both graduated from Oregon State.  COVID made their graduations memorable and unique.  All three of these grads are uber smart, super fun, and going places in life.  I loved getting to […]

Jesse

Jesse is a Class of 2020 graduate from Newberg High School.  His passion is theatre and because of COVID, he missed out on his last two performance.  Jesse plans to attend OIT in the fall. He has overcome significant health challenges in his life and decorated his cap to reflect his love for theatre and to honor his organ donor. […]

Cheyenne

Cheyenne is a Class of 2020 senior from Newberg High School.  She sings with Newberg’s competition choir and has a beautiful voice.  Since her in-person graduation ceremony was cancelled, she and her choir members, pre-recorded their graduation performance from each of their homes.  It was complicated and oh-so-beautiful.  Thank you for sharing your talent with our community. Congratulations Cheyenne! #jodistilpphotography […]

Newberg High School Soccer Seniors: Class of 2020

My daughter Katie plays soccer for Newberg High School.  This year they had nine seniors on the varsity squad.  At the end of the school year, we did a Cap and Gown photo session to celebrate their accomplishments.  Not all nine seniors could attend the photo session, but we had fun with the ones that were able to make it. […]

Lacrosse Season: Class of 2020 COVID Style

My daughters play lacrosse.  The 2020 season was Katie’s senior year and their last chance to play together.  When the season got cancelled a handful of days before their first game due to the COVID pandemic, we shed big tears, and grieved a lot throughout the next several weeks.  We missed all of the big and little things that make […]

Oh The Places You’ll Go: My Class of 2020 Grad and Her Friends

My daughter Katie is a Class of 2020 graduate.  She, like her classmates, found her world turned upside down when the COVID pandemic brought us to a screeching halt.  She left school on March 13th, thinking that she was just getting an extra week of spring break.  None of us could have predicted that March 13th would be her last […]

Class of 2020: Cap and Gown Sessions

COVID came like a wrecking ball and ended Life As They Knew it for the Class of 2020 seniors. No prom. No spring sports seasons. No final concerts or theatre productions.  No traditional graduation ceremonies. No All Night Party. No Senior Skip Day, Senior Breakfast and Grad Walk through their elementary and middle schools.  It was just so hard.  As […]

Golden Hour Photos

We’ve been talking for three years about doing family photos for this awesome family but the timing never worked out.  Finally, we grabbed our chance and had PERFECT weather.  The spring flowers were in bloom and the golden hour lighting on this late spring evening was so pretty.  Thanks Croskrey’s for a fun night. #jodistilpphotography #familyportraits #springportraits #goldenhour

Sydney

I met Sydney when she was in early elementary school. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that she is now a high school graduate and headed to Linfield College to study nursing in the fall.  WELL DONE Sydney!  May God continue to lead you in this next chapter of your life. #jodistilpphotography #seniorportraits #classof2020 #capandgownphotos
