Carlee

Carlee is a Class of 2021 senior at Sherwood High School.  She plays volleyball, makes jewelry, and does other cool artistic things. Carlee is easy going and loads of fun.  The morning of her session, we woke to dense fog.  It was starting to dissipate, so we agreed to go forward with her session.  As I was driving to Champoeg State Park, the tiny bit of sun that was trying to break through the fog disappeared and even denser fog dropped into the valley.  Poor Carlee got out of the car in her cute summery outfit and was greeted with a cold, wet, wintery-type morning.  We took some cool photos in the fog, but ten minutes in the damp air and her hair went straight.  Plus who wants their entire senior session shot in the fog? We decided to call it and regroup later in the day if the sun came out.  Two hours later, the sun came out.  It turned out to be a glorious early fall day, and we shot the rest of Carlee’s session in beautiful, warm sunshine.  Carlee never complained. She rolled with the punches, adapted beautifully, and let her true personality shine: dancing in the field, climbing a tree in her dress, and high-kicking her way through the final shots.  She’s pretty amazing. Have a great year Carlee.  Keep spreading your joy!
