Transitions

I met Lisa seven years ago.  She was the driver on my first ever Hood to Coast team.  She’s amazing.  You would be hard pressed to find a more servant-hearted woman.  Who volunteers their time, their car, their house (for a rest period), and their sleep for 30+ hours to drive six smelly runners from Mt. Hood to the Oregon coast? Lisa does.  We entered that race as strangers.  Bonded.  Emerged as friends.

When I started my photography business, she called me and trusted me to take her daughter’s senior portraits.  Haley was one of my first every senior portrait sessions and she was so patient with me.  Two years later, I got to take Devin’s senior portraits.  A couple more years of experience had smoothed out the process and given me more confidence and we got some really great images.  Now Lisa’s family is in another big season of transition.  Devin joined the Army and just left for boot camp.  Haley is expecting their first grandchild. BIG transitions. BIG emotions.  It was my honor to photograph Lisa’s entire family this time around.  Thank you for service Devin and I can’t wait to meet your sweet babe Haley.  May God bless your family through this season.
