Near and Dear

The Busch Family will always be near and dear to my heart.  I met Sandra in the pre-school drop off/pick up line when our now 8th graders were four years old.  We had both – with no regrets – put careers on hold to raise our babies.  As our kids got older and our days unfolded with more time, we jumped into pursuing new career dreams.  I picked up my camera and started a photography business.  Sandra went back to school to work in dentistry. Over the years we cheered each other on and prayed each other through hurdles.  When I posted on Instagram, “Jodi Stilp Photography is open for business,” Sandra texted me immediately to book her family session.  She took a risk hiring a newbie photographer, but her confidence in my ability pushed me onward in my pursuit to become a photographer.  I am forever grateful.

This fall we were able to update her family portraits.  She wanted brilliant fall colors and we found it in a local vineyard as the sun was setting.  We even got a couple images with the moon making an appearance. Thank you Sandra (and family) for loving my early work with all it’s flaws and for continuing to hire me. I think you all are pretty awesome. Until next time…
