the Chinwuba’s

I met the Chinwuba’s on a moody fall Saturday for their photo session at Champoeg State Park.  The weather was a perfect fit for the bittersweet occasion.  Family photos just didn’t seem right without Osi.  Osi’s absence was deeply felt. We all cried big tears. Pulled ourselves together, then had fun.  I would venture to guess our session moodiness is a microcosm of what life without Osi feels like.

Heidi and I talked through ways we could incorporate Osi into the family photos and we settled on letters from his bedroom and two of his favorite balls. Heidi, Ifeanyi, and Amara – you are loved.  Remembered.  Prayed for.  May Jesus continue to be your source of comfort as you walk through this valley of grief.
