Until We’re Old and Gray

To know the Guidry’s is to love them.  Seriously.

The first time I met Cyndi, she gave me a huge hug and said, “I feel like we’ve been friends forever.  How have we not known each other until now?”  Our first conversation was thirty minutes long.  Kindred spirits for sure.

The Guidry family photo shoot was an emotional one to say the least.  Jon and Tyler had just graduated from high school and were headed into the Navy – boot camp at separate times.  Their very close-knit family of four kiddos being cut in half basically overnight.  Oh the tug on the heart strings….  Why do our kids have to grow up?

Tyler and Jon sailed through bootcamp and ended up getting stationed on the same ship.  Reunited after months apart.  I’m sure it’s easier on their Momma’s heart to know they are together.  If you think of it, pray for this family?  So much transition in one year.  And thank you Jon and Ty for serving.  I salute you.

Cyndi said this about their session,

We wanted our family all together for one last photo shoot before we scattered with our sons leaving for the Navy.  We asked Jodi to capture us ‘one last time’… she didn’t disappoint. Jodi has a gift to catch us being candid, laughining, proud, or in tears and was so warm and understanding throughout the entire session.  We are so excited for Jodi to take our daughter’s senior pictures this fall.  And frankly, capture our family’s milestones until we’re old and gray.”
