Troopers

The weather forecast for the Hall’s family photo session was rain showers and cold.  We chatted about rescheduling, but Oregon fall weather is so unpredictable, so we decided to go for it.  It was definitely not ideal conditions for a photo session with a toddler and a preschooler, but the Hall family were such troopers. Jason and Melissa came prepared […]

Baby Girl

Oh baby!  I was so happy to hear that Rachita and Kunal were expanding their family. It was such a privilege to see this sweet family twice in a matter of weeks.  Rachita and Kunal are as genuine and kind as they come. They love each other, are great parents, and are just all around fun to be around. And […]

Macartney Family

Those Macartney’s are one cute family.  I mean seriously…  We had a perfect fall day for their session and a gorgeous location to grab some pretty family photos. Thank you for trusting me with these memories.  I had a great time. May God bless you in the coming year. #jodistilpphotography #familyportraits #familyoffive #fallportraits #oregonwinecountry

Combining Family and Senior Portraits

The Sellke’s were overdue for family portraits and their daughter needed senior portraits.  She didn’t want a fussy senior session so we combined a family photo session with some senior portraits.  It was a win-win for everyone.  What a great idea.  Have the best year Annika!  It was great to meet you and your family. #jodistilpphotography #seniorportraits #familyportraits #classof2020 #newberghighschool

Worth Waiting For

I love it when my families ask me to photograph their extended family.  What an honor to document the heritage, love and legacy of a family.  Stephanie and I started the process of scheduling their multi-generation family photo session in early June and somehow managed to drag the process out all summer long.  The photos were worth waiting for.  They […]

Six Years Later

The Donaldson’s were some of my first clients.  Amber – a hair dresser – and I have been swapping services since we both were newbies learning our trade.  Our initial work was stuff to be proud of, but I will say we have both honed our style and our skill over the past six years.  It’s fun to continue to […]

The Best Gift

For mother’s day, the Russell kids bought their mom a mini session.  How sweet is that?  To make it even better, it had been years since this awesome family had done professional portraits.  They were long overdue and the timing was sentimental.  This week Mackenzie heads off to her first year of college.  So much emotion wrapped up in this […]

Twenty Minutes or Less

The Specter’s were some of my first clients, hiring me in my first year of being in business.  They own Bells Up Winery, a boutique winery in Newberg. Sara is refreshingly genuine, hilarious and smart.  Winemaker Dave is also quick witted and obviously smart because he makes award winning wine.  Both are a little snarky.  I loved them immediately. We […]

A New Fur Baby

Nanci is a talented photographer.  We’ve traded family sessions the last two years and I always get so nervous to photograph a photographer.  After all, she’s a professional.  GAH!  But her family – all boys – is hilarious and fun.  They set me up with the best candids, which are always my favorite and the images I gravitate toward.  Life […]

Believe in the People Around You

I met the Browne family through soccer.  David and Phyllis, along with their daughter Jenny, coached youth soccer and my daughter was placed on their team for a season. It happened to be a hard season of life for my daughter, who was in the early stages of doing the big, HARD, work to get on top of debilitating anxiety […]
