Our Brand New Family of Three

Is there anything more beautiful than a newborn babe, especially a firstborn?  All the newness of fresh life and becoming parents is exhilarating and exhausting.  Overwhelming and over joyous.  Ryan and Mandee invited me into that sacred space and gave me the privilege of photographing their firstborn son.

We’d prayed together for his health and safe arrival throughout Mandee’s pregnancy.  His arrival was MUCH anticipated and he is greatly loved.  It was an honor to finally meet this handsome little man and take some photos of him.

This newborn session confirmed to me that lifestyle photography is what I love to shoot.  Images that tell a real life story are what draw me in, and my goal for this session was tell this Little Man’s story.

As a new mama, I am so grateful for the way Jodi so perfectly captured my little man. She immediately put me at ease amidst the chaos of those first weeks with a newborn and I will forever cherish the images of our brand new family of three. Jodi has also taken extended family photos for us previously, and I was equally impressed with the way she was able to make the picture-taking experience engaging and comfortable for all involved. I see it reflected in the natural smiles and joy depicted in our photos and we so enjoy both displaying and sharing the memories and relationships she has captured.
