Put Everyone At Ease and Made It Enjoyable

Last fall, I photographed Kelly, Jeremy and their two boys.  We had fun and one of their photogenic cuties ended up on my business cards.

I was excited when Kelly asked me to take their photographs again this year.  This time we added in three more family units to account for four generations of Hurl’s!  Great-Grandma, Grandma and Grandpa, and both sons with their wives and children.  Kelly asked me to shoot the session on the Hurl family ranch – land they have lived on and raised their children on for several generations.  What an honor and a cool story to tell.

It was unseasonably HOT the day of the session, the sun was in all the wrong places for the “perfect” spots, and the grandsons were more interested in playing with my toys that I use for props than posing for pictures.  It made for a legitimately fun, candid, winging it kind of session.  The end result was beautiful AND funny  images to enjoy for years to come.
