Mia, Kylie, Maddie and Laney

Mia, Kylie, Maddie and Laney all played Division III college basketball at George Fox University and as of May 4th are officially college graduates!  I met them through Foster Friends, a program hosted by Friendsview Retirement Community, that partners with Fox Women’s Basketball to provide friendship and support to the players.  It was a bit of an accident connecting me with that group since I am not retired or old enough to participate, but both groups: the Foster Friends and the basketball team – made an exception.  Just like that I had two new sets of friendships to build on.  When my daughter transferred to Fox this year, she became friends with all these girls, and we started hosting meals and hang outs.  It’s been such a great year.  I was so touched with the girls asked me to take their grad photos. What an honor to help them celebrate all they accomplished on the basketball court, in the classroom, and the impact their character left on the student body at Fox.  I sure do love you ladies. There will always be a seat at my table and on my couch for each of you.  Don’t stop coming over for pot pie.  CONGRATULATIONS!
