When Everyone is in Town
Every holiday season I get inquiries from clients wondering if I’m willing to shoot photo sessions in the days just before or just after Christmas. The answer is almost always “Yes.” Not because I particularly like peeling myself off the couch where I’m snuggled with my crew who are home on Christmas break, but because I understand just how special getting a family photo is, especially when the people you love move far away. Capturing the rare moments when the entire crew is back together is The Best Gift and I’m always honored to be asked to be the one to do it.
The Tracy family had one day available to shoot their session and we were also working around sleep schedules for their baby and toddler. The weather forecast for the entire week was dismal: cold, heavy rain was on the docket and cold, heavy rain was what we got for the entire day of the Tracy’s photo session… with the exception of a 30 minute rain break that just happened to coincide with the start time of their session. It was such a gift to be able to shoot a big chunk of the session with pretty backdrops, and when it started raining again we were able to finish the session in a pretty covered area. #thankful
Have a great year Tracy Family. I sure enjoyed meeting you.
