Camden + Grace

Camden and Grace started dating in early high school.  They essentially grew up together.. supporting each other through good times and bad, falling more in love every time they matured to another level or walked through another life change.  Their love story is endearing and sweet.  Grace had always wanted professional portraits of the two of them.  Camden hired me for to do this and told Grace he’d set up professional photos.  She coordinated their outfits – including their amazing shoes – so they could re-create a shoe pose/photo they’ve been doing for years.  Behind the scenes, Camden and I were scheming for the best place for him to propose and how to do it within the photo session.

He took Grace back to the spot of their first date (so sweet) and we started walking up the trail to find a secluded area.  It was BEASTLY hot and a little humid.  They were such troopers to go through with a photo session in such hot conditions.  We found a good spot and I posed them for a few shots, including one where they were back to back. I asked  Camden to “step out of the frame” (WINK WINK) so I could grab a couple snaps of just Grace.  While I was photographing her he set up behind her.  When she turned around, there he was… on one knee with a ring and a proposal of marriage.  She said YES and we spent the rest of the session showcasing their love and her pretty ring.
