Sam

Sam is a Class of 2024 senior at Lake Oswego High School.  He is a catcher for baseball and is being recruited to play at the collegiate level.  He is also a pilot with a desire to turn this passion into a career.  We started Sam’s photo session at his high school baseball field and there were no less than 8,000 soccer players and their families (slight exaggeration but not by much) all over the field for a soccer jamboree.  It forced us to work around a ton of background distractions and into some really harsh light.  The light made for some fun, non-traditional portraits.  We finished Sam’s session at the airpark where he flies his plane and we shot photos with his plane and around the airpark, including photos with Mt. Hood looming in the background.  Sam’s photos are unique – because we had to experiment with different light and also because he posed with an airplane, his dog, a mountain, and his baseball gear.  Have a great year Sam.  I’m excited to see how things sort themselves out for you with college, baseball, and flying.
