Paivi

Paivi is a Class of 2022 senior at Newberg High School.  Paivi wanted summer light and photos that were “sweet and pretty.” It was wicked hot the evening of her session, but we just rolled with it, sitting in the air conditioned car in between outfits until we stopped sweating and dared to venture out again.  LOL.  Desperate times call for desperate measures. We started Paivi’s session in the little apple orchard at her house and then ventured out on an adventure to find locations that fit her vision, and we nailed it!  I LOVE how Paivi’s photos turned out.  But even more, I love Paivi.  P has been in our lives since she and my daughter Alli started playing basketball together in sixth grade. A steadfast, loyal friendship between those two and between our families has formed.  We have walked through some tough life storms together and I am so grateful to have the Landwehr’s in our lives.  It was such an honor to be the one Paivi chose to take her senior portraits.  I’m all sorts of emotional finishing her images, knowing she is about to launch into her senior year, and then embark on her journey to become a Physician Assistant.  I love you P.  Thanks for being such a fun friend for A and for just generally being awesome. Stoked to cheer you on through your last year of high school.  It’s gonna be a good one.  All my love.
