Hillary
Hillary is a senior at Hillsboro High School. Academics are a big priority for Hillary and that shows in her high GPA and just the diligent way in which she approaches life. Her passion outside of school is OSET. She is an accomplished and highly decorated competitor, but extremely humble about all of her accomplishments. Hillary’s horse Skeeter was a big part of her senior portrait session. The other barn animals were irritated about being left out and kept trying to photobomb, including the barn cat who posed beautifully in the background for one of Hillary’s photos.
The day we originally scheduled Hillary’s senior session was a dark day for the state of Oregon. A rare wind storm whipped a handful of fires into a roaring inferno, setting a huge swath of our state on fire. One burned in our community and we had to postpone Hillary’s session three times in the following ten days to accommodate for the fires, darkness and then stifling smoke. The day we shot Hillary’s session was smoky, but the smoke was slowly dissipating. We thought the smoke made for a somber time stamp of what was going on in the world as she started her senior year and decided to not reschedule for a fourth time. Wouldn’t you know it? The sun emerged for the first time in ten days during Hillary’s session. I pray that those rays of light are signs that the year is only going to get better for these Class of 2021 seniors. They are starting their senior year in chaos, but my prayer is that they will just build steam throughout the year and go out with all the pomp and circumstance they deserve. Have an awesome year Hillary. I loved getting to know you, your mom and Skeeter.
