Smudge

Smudge was Kaylin’s faithful companion from the time she was nine years old.  When Taylor came into the picture, he had to pass Smudge’s approval.  He did, with flying colors.  Smudge gave Kaylin and Taylor years of beautiful memories.  When it was evident that Smudge would probably not make it to her upcoming 19th birthday, I was sent by a friend to take family photos.  We took these photos at noon.  Four hours later, Smudge passed away.  It’s like she was waiting for us to get these moments, as one last gift to her people.  Thank you Smudge.
