the Day’s
I met Amy at the neighborhood park over ten years ago. Â We got to know each other while we pushed our two-year-old-daughters on the swings. Â Turns out our sons were also the same age, in the same class, and had been talking about each other to their moms. Â “I met a new kid and he’s cool. Â Can he come over?” I love how God orchestrates beautiful stories.
Ten years have flown by. Â Raleigh and Grant ended up developing a strong friendship centered around water polo, but including a bazillion other play dates/hang outs, etc. Â Together they have traveled the world and won four state championships playing water polo. Â Our families have sat, side by side, cheering them on… growing our friendships over sore butts in the bleachers.
This is a big year of transition for the Day’s. Â Their oldest daughter left for her mission with her church just days after we shot this cold, winter session. Â She won’t return for 18 months. Â In June, Raleigh will graduate from high school. Â In July he too will leave to go on a mission for his church. Â He will be gone for two years. My momma’s heart aches for the sacrifices the Day family is making and at the same time, I am exceedingly proud of them.
Thank you Day Family for trusting me to take your family photos. Â May God go before you and your family as you walk through these big transitions. Â We love you!
