Jack

Jack is a senior at Newberg High School.  His little brother plays water polo with my son and that’s how we met Jack’s family.  Things I knew about Jack before his senior session: 1.  He’s a very good football player.  2.  He’s also a very good wrestler. 3.  He’s had the same girlfriend since he was a freshman.

Things I learned about Jack during his senior session.  1.  He collects hats.  He has hats that he wears with the bill forward.  He has hats that he wears with the bill backward. He does not interchange these hats or reverse the direction for which they are intended to be worn.  2.  He collects shoes.  Lots of shoes.  And has special shelving in his closet to accommodate his shoes.  3.  He likes working with machines and is rebuilding a motorcycle for his senior project. 4.  He is proud of his heritage and often reps the fire department where his Dad works by wearing a Hillsboro Fire Department sweatshirt, and has a fire department sticker on his Jeep. 5.  He is funny and laughs freely.  6.  He separated his shoulder in the football game just days before his senior session. 7.  Finally, Jack is smart, but would never tell you that because he’s also very humble.

Thanks for a super fun morning Jack.  I pray you have an incredible remainder of your senior year.  Go change your world.
