A Class Act

Tyler is the captain of Newberg High School’s water polo team, leading his team to three consecutive Oregon 6A state championships.  He’s also the best 6A water polo in the state of Oregon… voted MVP in the state two years in a row.  Oh and did I mention that he’s one of Newberg High School’s fastest swimmers?  I’m happy to sing his praises because Tyler doesn’t brag.  He’s one of the most humble high schoolers I’ve met.  He shows up to practice every day, works hard, leads by example, and coaches the younger athletes in the water.  No posturing or exuberant celebration… Tyler is a class act.

I thought Tyler would want to showcase his accomplishments and athletic prowess in his senior session, but he opted instead for a classy suit. His second outfit included his Grandpa’s vintage coat.  Tyler is the youngest of four kids, so his parents joined him for a few photos at his session.  I can only imagine the range of emotions they feel as they get ready to launch their youngest child.

Thank you Tyler for being such a great leader and role model.  I look forward to seeing how your college career unfolds.  Go get ’em!
