Maddie

To know Maddie is to love her.  And I don’t say that lightly.  Maddie is obviously beautiful, but her beauty isn’t skin deep.  She has depth of character. Drive. Grit. Determination. Intellect. Compassion. Athleticism. Humility. Kindness.  Maddie is the real deal… but she’d never tell you about any of her accomplishments.

Maddie is a nationally acclaimed track star.  Her 4×400 relay team won the national title this summer, and she still has a year of high school left.  She broke her own school record in the 400 meter dash multiple times last year as a junior and is equally skilled the 200 meters and the hurdles. She also plays on the varsity volleyball team. Her humility about her many accomplishments is one of her greatest character strengths, in my opinion.

But sports aren’t all Maddie excels at.  She’s carrying a 4.00 cumulative GPA into her senior year.  Way to go Maddie. I’m so proud of you.

I can’t wait to cheer you on this year.  God has big plans for you.  I’m excited to see them unfold.  Go get ’em.
