We Can’t Thank You Enough

Rachita and Kunal were expecting their first baby – a son.  They called and asked me to document this big event in their lives.

Oregon winters are mild, but the landscape still can look pretty barren.  It’s hard to find beautiful outdoor locations in the middle of February.  And this is Oregon.  It rains a lot in the winter.  We also needed an outdoor space with shelter if it was raining.  We found what we needed at the Jenkins Estate.

It had been raining hard for days leading up to the Nair’s maternity photo shoot.  But Baby Nair was due in two weeks.  We couldn’t postpone or reschedule the shoot.  We expected to be forced under cover, but God gave us an awesome gift.  A break in the rain!  Heavy, dark storm clouds loomed ominously in all directions with one tiny patch of blue sky (even some sunshine!) where we we were working.  The sunlight faded away, but the storm clouds held off for the entire hour we were playing.  As we hugged goodbye in the parking lot, it started to rain. It poured the rest of the weekend.

The beauty was not lost on me, Paige (my assistant for the day), or Rachita and Kunal.  Thank you God for the little ways you show us that you love us.

Kunal and Rachita loved their finished images.  They said,
